Özyeğin University Ranked Among Top 3 Turkish Foundation Universities in “THE Impact Rankings 2025”

Özyeğin University has been ranked among the best Turkish foundation universities for the 7th consecutive year, with its sustainability-oriented approach and practices making a difference!

Özyeğin University has been named among the top 3 foundation universities in Türkiye in Times Higher Education’s “THE Impact Ranking 2025” for the seventh (7th) consecutive year. Performed annually by Times Higher Education (THE), a London-based higher education ranking institution, since 2019, THE Impact ranks universities based on the social, economic, and environmental practices they have adopted to deliver the United Nations’ 17 interrelated Sustainability Development Goals (SDG). It offers a brand-new approach that previous international rankings have yet to offer and reveals the significant value universities generate beyond research and education. Interest in the ranking, launched as a pilot study in 2019, continues to increase yearly. This year, the number of universities ranked in the general ranking increased to 2,318, and the number of Turkish universities reached 108. Özyeğin University takes its place in the 301-400 band among 2,318 universities, constantly developing sustainability-oriented studies.

Özyeğin University has achieved significant results based on SDGs. Below are the rankings for several SDGs:

• SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation, Within the 201-300 band in the global ranking among 1,042 universities and the top foundation university in Türkiye.
• SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, Within the 301-400 band in the global ranking among 1,154 universities and the top foundation university in Türkiye.
• SDG 12 – Responsible Production and Consumption, Within the 101-200 band in the global ranking among 973 universities and the top foundation university in Türkiye.
• SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, Within the 101-200 band in the global ranking among 1,265 universities and the 3rd foundation university in Türkiye.
• SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, Within the 401-600 band in the global ranking among 2,389 universities and the 4th foundation university in Türkiye.
