Computer Science Master’s Program Graduate İsmail Can Yağmur Received Awards for Thesis and Student Paper

İsmail Can Yağmur, a graduate of the Özyeğin University Computer Science master’s program, has been honored with third prize in the ‘Master’s Thesis’ category at the 5DT Thesis Competition within the scope of the 33rd IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Signal Processing and Communications Applications Congress. Yağmur wrote his thesis entitled “Self-Supervised Deep Learning for Multispectral Image Matching” under the supervision of Prof. Hasan Fehmi Ateş.

Our student İsmail Can Yağmur, who presented the paper entitled “CS-REG-NET: A Self-Supervised Visual-State-Space Based Architecture for Cross-Spectral Registration of Thermal and Optical Imagery” at the same congress, was also awarded 1st prize in the 24th Alper Atalay “Best Student Paper” Competition in the Image Processing and Computer Vision Track.
