Dr. Eda Gürel is the Chair of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Bilkent University. Her research focuses on marketing, museums, entrepreneurship and ethics. She is the coordinator and principal investigator of the Horizon Europe project “Customized Games and Routes for Cultural Heritage and Arts (CULTURATI),” funded by the European Union. Her work centers on developing innovative models and technologies aimed at the sustainability of cultural and creative industries. Internationally recognized for her academic contributions, she was granted patents in Türkiye and the United States in 2019 for her invention in the field of cultural heritage. She has published widely in leading international journals, including the Annals of Tourism Research, Museum Management and Curatorship, The Service Industries Journal and others, with her studies contributing to the fields of cultural heritage, marketing and creative industries. At Bilkent University, she teaches courses with a focus on economics and marketing.

In the seminar class, Dr. Eda Gürel will present on “Experience CULTURATI: Shaping the Future of Cultural Heritage”.
