Outdoor Gourmet Tastes Festival “GurmeFest – Istanbul
With the spring sprung, the Outdoor Gourmet Tastes Festival “GurmeFest – İstanbul” will bring together over 20,000 food & drink, fun and entertainment aficionados at the Event Garden from May 11 to 14, 2017.
As the Turkish Gastronomy sector continues to grow in harmony with the rest of the world, the festival aims to offer an extensive blend of fine examples from both the Turkish and global cuisine in order to preserve and promote Turkey’s unique tastes and food variety, as well as the Turkish culinary culture.
The 4-day festival program will include tasting events, picnics, parties, and demonstrations. Culinary secrets will be shared, classical tastes will be remembered, and new tastes will be introduced. Master chefs will cook for participants, special drinks will be prepared, and, led by invited experts, academicians, and master chefs, a series of panel discussions, talks and demonstrations will be held.
Le Cordon Bleu will attend the festival on May 12 and 13, and will give 2 workshops on Friday, May 12, and 2 Gastro Shows on Saturday, May 13. The workshop details are provided below.

Canapé Workshop

Designed for your special celebrations and elegant parties, the Canapé Workshop will give you the opportunity to taste a rich variety of delicious canapés.
Workshop Content:
- Potatoes filled with roe and sour cream
- Shrimps Rolled in Kadayıf
- Pancakes with smoked salmon and basil
During the workshop, you will learn not only the basic cutting techniques shown by our Le Cordon Bleu chefs, but also some of the basic culinary techniques, including how to prepare sour cream, how to make curly potatoes, and how to marinate.
Tenderloin with Pepper Workshop

During the Tenderloin with Pepper Workshop, you will learn how to create a balance of flavors while cooking with different ingredients from the experienced chefs of Le Cordon Bleu.

During this workshop, you will learn not only the meat cutting techniques shown by our Le Cordon Bleu chefs, but also some of the basic culinary skills, including how to caramelize, how to prepare side dishes, and how to sear the meat
