C. Bora Sezer works as an Instructor at Istanbul Ozyegin University's Architecture and Design Faculty's Communication department. He obtained his BA in 2002 from Istanbul Bilgi University’s Visual Communication department. His MA is from Istanbul Technical University's Information Technologies in Design and he has another MA from Holland Utrecht University's Game and Interaction department. He has been a part time Instructor since 2007 in both Istanbul Kadir Has and Istanbul Isik Universities giving practical and theoretical classes mainly about Basic Design, Motion Graphics and Interaction design.

Besides his Academic career he has worked as an Art Director at the San Francisco - Silicon Valley based startup company Grou.ps and at a Turkish TV News channel HaberTurk as a visual director and Interface designer.

He also established his own startup company, an event announcing website that informs about events in the Istanbul Beyoglu area which he then successfully sold to another event announcing organization. In his freelance years he worked for various famous brands such as Coca-Cola, Converse and Gazelle though known agencies.

His main research areas are, spatiotemporal visualization methods and dynamic interaction models for location based social events discovery applications, assisting individuals discover relevant and regional social events through effective interaction models representing event related data collected from different Social Media sources, converting cinematic elements to Interactive environments and improoving user experience scenarios for Sustainable living environments.

His interests lately concern, virtual and augmented reality, Internet of Things and Use of Internet technologies in design education.

Bora Sezer holds Dutch Citizenship and besides English speaks Dutch fluently as well.
