Dr. Semra Tokay graduated from department of Architecture at  I. D. M. M. A in 1974. She Got the master degree from Architectural Design Programme with her thesis about ‘Health  Buildings’. She worked  with Prof. H. Özer, Prof. E. Hızıroğlu, Prof. A. Aşkun and  Prof. İ. Yüce Aşkun on architectural practices and competitions. She began working as a research assistant at Yıldız Technical University at 1980. In 1987, she got the Phd and assigned to be an assistant proffesor in 1990. She retired from Yıldız Technical University in 1999 and after that she worked at Maltepe University since 2012.
