Sevgül Akbuz graduated from English Language Education Department at Hacettepe University in 2004 and received her M.A. degree in the the department of EU Politics and International Relations at Marmara University in 2009, following the completion of her thesis entitled "The Implementation of the Principles of the Bologna Proces in English Courses in Bachelor's Degree Programmes in Turkey". She is currently doing her PhD in the Department of Communication at Istanbul Bilgi University.
