Applications for the Bilim Kahramanları Derneği - Young Scientist Awards are Now Open!

 Dear Faculty Members and Researchers,

Bilim Kahramanları Derneği organizes the Young Scientist Awards project every year in collaboration with three different university rectors. The project aims to encourage young scientists by thanking them publicly, to inspire the young scientists of the future, and to demonstrate the unifying power of science to all stakeholders in society.

Since 2012, the Bilim Kahramanları Derneği has organized the Young Scientist Award Ceremony as part of the "Scientist of the Year" program to inspire future generations and publicly honor scientists contributing to Turkey's future. Over the course of 11 years, this program has been carried out in cooperation with 32 different universities, and 65 scientists have been honored for their work.

At the 2025 Scientist of the Year - Young Scientist Award Ceremony, which will be held in November, recognition will be given to scientists who have:

Who Can Apply?

Individual scientists who have not reached the age of 38 (born on or after January 1, 1987), have made international contributions to the fields of basic sciences and engineering, and have pioneered the advancement and visibility of these fields in our country may apply for the Young Scientist Awards.

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated by a selection committee appointed by the three partner university rectors, based on the following criteria:
