Computer Science Undergraduate Eren Doğan Receives CITRIS Spanos Awards for Semiconductor Research

Eren Doğan, a graduate of the Computer Science BS program at Özyeğin University, where he was the valedictorian, and a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at University of California (UC), Santa Cruz, is among one of the four UC students who received the inaugural Costas John Spanos Semiconductor Manufacturing Award from the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute (CITRIS).

The award recognizes exceptional graduate student researchers who are advancing the future of semiconductor devices, technology, design, and manufacturing. Eren Doğan is advised by Matthew Guthaus, professor of computer science and engineering at UC. His previous mentor is H. Fatih Uğurdağ, Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Özyeğin University.
