Özyeğin University Continues to Support Women Entrepreneurship

The 2017 BizBizze Cooperation Development Workshop-Speed Networking event will take place on Friday, May 26. The event is organized by BizBizze, a social responsibility initiative led by the Center for Entrepreneurship at Özyeğin University, with the vision of building an “idea support unit for women”. BizBizze offers coaching, mentorship, and consultancy to women who wish take a more active part in both economic and social life. Özyeğin University is the academic sponsor of the Bizbizze platform.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Özyeğin University is continuing to support social entrepreneurship efforts for social and economic development. The brainchild of the social entrepreneur Bedriya Hülya, and supported by Özyeğin University, BizBizzee is aimed at supporting women with high school or university degrees in taking a more active part in professional and social life, either as an entrepreneur or as an employee, and encouraging them to volunteer for social responsibility projects. The project also aims to create a support center/employment bureau for women which will coordinate all the coaching, mentorship and consultancy services under the same roof for women who aspire to assume a more active role in life.

The initiative is supported by the Ashoka Foundation Turkey, Assess Consulting, Carma, Endeavor Turkey, ICF Turkey, Bahçeşehir University, KAGİDER- Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey, Women Health and Sports Association, Kariyer.net and Şişli Municipality. To date, BizBizze has  reached 70 thousand women, and offered entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities to 324 and 411 women, respectively, as well as providing volunteering opportunities to 84 women.

The BizBizze 2017 Cooperation Development Workshop-Speed Networking event will take place in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Özyeğin University Çekmeköy Campus, on Friday, May 26.  The Speed Networking event will include a briefing about the project, meet and greet circles, and networking sessions. Ms. Gila Benmayor sits on the advisory board of the Speed Networking event.
