Design.Ist Talks - Literary and Cinematic Lines in Posthumanism

As the Design, Technology and Society department; we continue our online talk series “Design.Ist Talks”, where we welcome researchers or seasoned professionals conducting science and technology studies (STS), or interdisciplinary studies in the fields of literature, gastronomy, design, and art as invited speakers, every Wednesday. Our second talk “Literary and Cinematic Lines in Posthumanism” by Associate Prof. Başak Ağın from the Middle East Technical University will take place on April 28, at 18.00. At the second session of our series, we will talk about Prof. Ağın’s new book 'Posthümanizm: Kavram, Kuram, Bilim-Kurgu' ('Posthumanism: Concept, Theory, Science-Fiction’). We will also explore the relationship between the concept of posthumanism and design, along with its examples in cinema and literature and its language of narrative.
