Sectoral orienteering: Digital security in a new age

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the eighth annual “Sectoral Orienteering”; one of the flagship events organized for our students’ sectoral education and professional development.  This year’s event is taking place between 5 – 9 March, 2018 at the Çekmeköy Campus.

We bring together the leading names of the business world with our students in many different themes such as sectoral talks, panels, case studies, interview simulations, cultural and sporting events, technical visits, interviews and workshop studies.

As the department of International Relations, we are hosting a series of talks on the larger theme “politics in a digital age.” On 8 March we will host communications expert Mehmet Şafak Sarı in AB3 room 236 at 12:40.

Mehmet Şafak Sarı has a BA degree in Communications from Ankara University. He offers services to many public, private and non-governmental organizations in New Media and New Communication Technologies. He is a senior communication specialist, content producer and designer in Istanbul-based-Sosyal Kafa Digital Communication Agency. He is also a journalist in Journo, a bipartisan media organization aiming at enhancing the quality of journalism practices in Turkey and advocating the freedom of speech to open spaces for unemployed or freelancer journalists who are looking for mediascapes to publish their works. Mr. Sarı is also the co-founder of Tahayyul.Net online journal and works at various international human rights and youth projects.
