Prof. Burcu Balçık to Participate in “Reducing Earthquake Risk: Science, Planning, and Practice” Panel

Prof. Burcu Balçık, a faculty member at the Industrial Engineering Department and the Academic Director of the Sustainability Platform at Özyeğin University, will participate in the “Mitigating Earthquake Risk: Science, Planning and Practice” panel organized by the Science Academy. Moderated by Prof. Sibel Salman from Koç University, Prof. Balçık is joined by Prof. Raha Akhavan-Tabatabaei from Sabancı University. The panel will focus on how to reduce earthquake risk in light of scientific data and the required planning and necessary steps to take along the way.
