Artificial Intelligence and Liability in Comparative Law symposium
The Law Faculty of the Özyegin University will hold a comparative law symposium on "Artificial Intelligence and Liability in Comparative Law" on March 22, 2019 in cooperation with the Istanbul Bar Association. Artificial intelligence generally refers to the “replication” of human decision-making using a “robot”. While artificial intelligence is seen as an important novelty and progress in the industry and medicine, it is criticized from an ethical point of view. Furthermore, the problem of data protection and the issue of liability for damage caused by artificial intelligence is controversial. In recent years, the topic of artificial intelligence in the comparative law has become to the fore due to the discussions on autonomous driving. The aim of this symposium is to evaluate current debates and regulations in Turkish, German and Slovenian law on the subject of artificial intelligence from a legal perspective
