Biography

Dr Ilayda Nemlioglu Oncu is an Assistant Professor in Ozyegin University, School of Business. Prior to this role, Ilayda worked at Roehampton Business School, London as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and Cardiff Business School for five years as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. She is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK) since 2021. Before joining Cardiff Business School, she worked as an Associate Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London where she conducted her MSc and PhD studies. Her PhD research was jointly sponsored by the School of Business and Management and the School of Law. Her research mainly covers issues in international finance, innovation and firm performance, the role of institutional quality and legal frameworks in a cross-country setting. Ilayda published her research in high quality academic journals (ABS 3-4). Moreover, she presented her work in many national and international conferences. She received around 375 citations totally in last few years, with an h-index of seven.

- The impact evaluation studies (policy analysis)- post-covid arrangements and role on firm performance
- Innovation policy change and impact on country performance
