Biography: Daniel Kovarek is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre at the European University Institute in Florence. He received his PhD in Political Science at Central European University in Vienna, where his dissertation was recognized with the Outstanding Dissertation Award in 2023. Daniel studies distributive politics, voting behavior, and representation, for which he mostly applies survey, experimental and big data methods. In 2022, he received the Dirk Berg-Schlosser Award from ECPR.
